The vice president for institutional advancement serves as the College’s chief development officer and leads fundraising efforts that advance the mission of the College. Staff in the Office of Institutional Advancement oversee constituency relations and gift administration, provide information about giving opportunities to alumnae, P.E.O. members, corporations, foundations, and the Nevada community, and manage the Cottey College Alumnae Association (CCAA) Board of Directors. The department members are also responsible for recording, receipting, acknowledging, and processing all gifts to the College.
Institutional advancement staff oversee and manage alumnae and P.E.O. communications, including alumnae, P.E.O. chapter, and individual campus visits; Cottey’s presence and materials for P.E.O. use at Convention of International Chapter; state/provincial/district conventions and chapter meetings; alumnae communications; Cottey alumnae clubs; alumnae social media presence; as well as communications with current legacy students. The office members coordinate major engagement events, including Founder’s Day Weekend, class reunions, P.E.O. Visit Day, Vacation College, and off-campus College engagement events. Areas within institutional advancement include development and stewardship, advancement services, alumnae and P.E.O. communication, Cottey Fund, and engagement activities. The Office of Institutional Advancement is located on the second floor of Main Hall.
